At Plant it Further Permaculture Design we help connect you to the native food community you can create in whatever your local ecotype is, as well as in whatever space you have to grow in. If you have a farm we understand how to regenerate the soil and can connect you to resources to further that path. But if you only have a windowsill and a desire to grow there are community gardens in almost every city. Search “community garden near me” or reach out to us and we can provide you with a network of support to start one. While we specialize in the native to Pennsylvania Permaculture style garden, our design inspiration comes from Gaia’s Garden and Aranya Farm, but with a heavy focus on using native (to your ecoregion) plants for drawing in and supporting the native pollinator habitat that should be in  your backyard and beyond. Our practices can be applied to every ecoregion on the planet. Find your native and transient pollinators. Find out what their support plants are (leaf matter, pollen, and nectar needs) and plant those everywhere to encourage habitat. Plant the food you like to eat in your beautiful habitat and watch the cycle of life unfold and thrive in your own space, then further extend that into your community.
